This is a yearly run/walk/roll for all ages in downtown Iowa City. I know we have a couple runners in the group, perhaps we can get a team together (an A-Team team?). Online registration isn't ready yet, so this will be to gather interest for the time being.

The race starts on Madison right in front of Hubbard Park. My running group is meeting on the west side steps of the capital, so that's just one idea. Also, if you haven't picked up your packet (includes bib number, the free shirt and a bunch of papers) you'll need to plan time to do that prior to the race before 8:15 am. You'll need your bib number and timing chip to get your time. There's also free refreshments afterward.

Any plan for meeting up before the race? Or should we just hang out at the memorial union and try and find each other? I've never done anything like this before, so I'm not really sure how it all works.

That's right. It will be cool. Also, there is a prize to the team that best represents their team name...and our teams are A-Team #1 and #2...so if anyone wants to go for that...

Yeah I am posting again...I picked up a bunch of paper registration forms today and there seem to be less fees associated with this route. I will bring them to Hamburger Mary's tonight and can drop them if anyone wants to fill them out. Registration fee increases again on April 19th and I am not sure we will be able to register teams after that date so let me know tonight or via email if you want to be on a team. Thanks!

Update: we have formed A-Team #1 and I think we can form A-Team #2 and #3. Anyone that wants to register as a team should email me your email, tshirt size and whether you want to walk, run or roll. This is just for the 5K. Happy training!

News: the registration fee for the river run increased today. It is still cheaper to register as a team just not as much. It was really nice of them to mention that on the website...oh wait...they didn't. Boo, hiss.

I think the best thing to do would be to collect a list of contact info and t-shirt sizes and then do all the registration at once. We also need to find out if anyone has already registered and wants to be on a team. Sorry I just kind of jumped all over this. Sometimes I get ahead of myself.

Hello again! We had a cancellation so we need one more team member. Let me know if interested. I found out that rollers and runners can be on the same team and people that have already registered can still get on a team if we let the director know. If not registered yet, all 5 members of a group must be registered at the same time and it requires contact info and t-shirt size.
