The weather is getting nice and the group is getting larger, so let's take advantage of a park and have a picnic. We've rented the yellow pavilion at Tucker Park in Hiawatha. It's right next to a playground and a splash pad. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough to enjoy both!

The A-Team will be providing burgers, chicken breasts, hot dogs, lemonade, and water. We ask that everyone else bring a side dish to share. Hiawatha allows us to bring cans and bottles of beer or wine coolers. We'll have a cooler with ice where you can keep beer or any soda you bring. Unfortunately, no hard liquor and no kegs.

There will be some yard games, but the best part is we'll also be setting up a field for an old fashion round of kick ball!

So make your best side dish, practice your kicking and come on out and enjoy the first Corridor A-Team Picnic in the Park!

That said, at this stage in the game, don't worry if you end up bringing the same goodies as someone else. 40-50 people can consume a lot of food, especially after drinking and playing kick-ball!

As much as I love potato salad, maybe people could post what they plan to bring. I'll bring a can or two of Pringles and a mix-n-match sixer of beer. 'cuz I'm classy that way.

Wow, this event was a long time in coming, but worth the wait. The food and kickball were great, but the people were the best! Thanks everyone.

The food 'twas great, thanks Chris. The company was awesome, as always. Bocce Ball was nifty. Kick-ball was good fun, sorry for knocking you over Lori.

Grilling, fun folks, bocci, a bit of beer ... that was why I like picnics.

It'll be hard to top this one -- met some awesome new people, sampled a wonderful selection of food and drink, and ran around in a great park I'd never been to before! 5 STARS!!

I had a LOT of fun. Kickball was a marvelous idea, and the veg*n friendly food was also much appreciated.

We had a good time. It was nice to have an event during the day that we were able to bring the little one to. Edgar had a great time playing at the splash pad and saying "arf" to the doggie (as long as she didn't get too close to him). Looking forward to more "family friendly" events!
    •  Had a lot of fun! Haven't played kickball in about 30 years! Good food, good people, and good fun.. The organizer(s) did a great job on this! Let's do it again soon!
