"re: cast -- On the 15th I broke my arm. I thought I had badly sprained it; but it was not healing very fast. X-rays show that I broke the scaphoid (sp?) in my wrist, and the unular (sp?) head in my elbow. As the scaphoid is a bone that gets very little blood flow, it is very slow to heal; the unular head is one that gets plenty of blood flow, but as I kept moving my elbow, it could not heal and blood was pooling within the crack. Thus: they gave me a full-arm cast to immobilize both joints."
