So I was at Target a few nights back and going about my business checking out when suddenly the cashier pointed to my A-Team shirt and said that she was part of the group, she just hadn't made it to anything. It was the first time the shirt had been noted outside of when a bunch of us are wearing them.

I was pretty excited about it.

That is too cool! We must be hitting some kind of critical mass in Cedar Rapids, because I recognize an A-Teamer damn near everywhere I go. cool

Very neat!

I have to say, I do regret not having an A-Team shirt to wear at TAM.

We do have some extras that I've not publized very well. If anyone is interested, send me an email, and I'll let you know what sizes/colors are available.

They still are $12.

For the next round, I've had a suggestion of a khaki color for warmer days and also to put certain quotes on it.

I personally like the quote "There is no Plan G."

But I think "The most bad-ass atheist group in Iowa" is pretty badass too.

Don't forget, "We specialize in the ridiculous!" and "Does your church group need to go for beer runs?" cool

To suggest a quote perhaps, the timeless wit of Douglas Adams
"I refuse to prove that I exist,” says God, “for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing." – Douglas Adams

What about the babelfish? Doesn't that prove you exist?

Our first meet-up out here was a bike ride and Sam and I were running late; we biked down the trail towards the meeting spot and someone coming the other way recognized the "A" and that's how we found the group.

As for plastering quotes all over the shirt; I like PZ Myers' the best because it directly refers to us.

On the topic of tshirts; for bar crawls I had mentioned this website at least to Scott.

I approve of this shamelessly self-congratulatory thread... or, in other words, hell yeah!
